More Pictures from Sullivans

Weekend in Sullivans and 16 weeks

LJ and I traveled to Sullivans Island to stay with our good friend Meredith. What a beautiful weekend at the beach! Saturday was spent playing "lawn games" including wiffle ball and volleyball. It was a little too windy for much beach time but we headed out to walk and take a few pictures. Sunday we checked out the new waterfront park in Mount Pleasant and headed to Taco Boy to eat lunch. I am also 16 weeks pregnant this weekend. Still feeling good but a little tired from the weekend.

Meeting Laney

Thursday night Amanda and I went to visit Tracie and Tyler and meet their new addition, Laney. She slept the entire time we were visiting. Amanda and I got to visit with Tracie and tour the nursery.

Vegas!!!

We took a trip in March to Vegas with 3 other couples. We had such a great time - even though I wasn't drinking and going in early - I had such a great time getting away with friends. LJ had such a great time that he is ready to go back. I have never seen anyone who could make $20 go so far. The girls re-named the Sahara "Uncle Louie's" (after our local Columbia hangout) because it quickly became the favorite casino with cheap tables, a low-key atmosphere, and of course cheap and quick drinks!

Bowl Game

Just wanted to share some pictures from the South Carolina bowl game we went to with Amanda and Billy, and Ryan and Erin! The Gamecocks lost and we vowed never to return to Birmingham but being with friends is always fun!

We Are Expecting!!!

LJ and I are so excited to finally say "we are pregnant"! What a blessing and a miracle! All children are a wonderful gift from God and we feel so blessed. I found out early in February and happened to be already about 6 weeks. We are due September 26th - LJ is quick to point out that this is also the weekend of the South Carolina @ Auburn football game. As the doctor said "babies have a mind of their own and now we are on the babies time".

I am thankful for what seems like a good pregnancy so far. Like most I have been tired, turned off by smells and certain foods, and unfortunately felt nauseated but never got sick. I continue to pray for a wonderful pregnancy and a healthy baby.

I am really going to try and keep everyone updated through the blog but I make no promises! Although I don't have much going on these days besides work I seem to spend a lot of time "resting" instead of "doing". I have started cooking again - occasionally - LJ is ready for healthy food but all I want is junk!

It's been awhile....

Okay, so it has been awhile since the anything has happened on the blog. LJ and I had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. We spent Christmas Eve together and by ourselves for the first time. Church and leftovers - something new! New Years was spent at our friend Meredith's New Years Eve Party - Disco Theme. I think we both had a great time getting out of Columbia and catching up with friends from out of town.

It is good to get back in the swing of things...I am enjoying my new position at Harmony Care Hospice as the Bereavement and Volunteer Coordinator in the Columbia office. LJ is still enjoying working for Delta Mechanical doing a little bit of everything: sales, marketing, and accounting. We are getting ready for a busy year with friends getting married and LJ's sister pregnant and plans to go to Arkansas in June and December.
